Frank and Andy Schleck are looking strong this year.
The 2011 Tour de France arrived in the mountains yesterday and we got to see the strongest climbers duke it out. The Leopard Trek team kept a very fast pace at the front of the peloton, which propelled Frank Schleck to a 3rd place place finish at the top of Luz-Ardiden. Brother Andy came in 6th place on the wheel of Cadel Evans, the only person that can beat them to Paris.
Being an avid bicyclist gives me an appreciation of the effort put forth in the 3 weeks that is Le Tour. I also enjoy the virtual tour of the French countryside, imagining a day when I may get a chance to be on the top of a mountain pass cheering the riders on.
