Many years ago, while sifting through all the junk at a local thrift store, I came upon this Geiger counter. Having grown up in the Nuclear age, where as an elementary school student we would have these endless drills in case of an attack, this item piqued my interest.
Maybe it still works, I’ll put a pair of fresh D cell batteries in it this weekend and try it out. I’ll either stand near our microwave, or find the nearest cell tower to see if I can get a reading.
