Turner Classic Movies
Sunday March 1, 2009
Thank you Ted.

Turner Classic Movies is one of the few reasons I have left to subscribe to standard cable. TCM is the only channel I stay on for long periods of time, the rest of my time is spent channel surfing ad nauseam.
The cable tether would of been severed a long time ago, if I were living alone.
Let me count the ways I dislike Television:
- Commercials
- Logos on the bottom right hand side of the screen
- Flashing coming attractions while I’m watching a show
- Scrolling tickers on newscasts
- Where are the music videos MTV?
- Reality Shows
- Gossip/Paparazzi shows
- You too can be a fill-in-the-blank shows
- Loud commercials
In a time when cable television is fighting to hang on to it’s subscriber base, I just don’t understand why they’d want to continue pissing us off. More often, I find myself being entertained via my laptop, with the TV acting as background noise.
So I bought a .44 magnum, it was solid steel cast
And in the blessed name of Elvis well I just let it blast
