VPS meet Etch

Upgraded the Virtual Private Server’s Operating System.

Powered By Debian

I had been holding off on upgrading from Debian Sarge to Etch on the VPS, kinda waiting for a sign of sorts. This past Friday the folks over at php.net announced the end of days for PHP4, so the time had arrived.

Took about a half an hour to do a dist-upgrade, considering I’m in North Carolina and the server is in Texas, all went rather well. I’ve never had any issues upgrading a Debian system, you can say I’m very confident of apt by this point.

With the latest Apache, MySQL and PHP, these websites should just pop into your browser.

Don’t make a grown man cry
My eyes dilate, my lips go green
My hands are greasy
She’s a mean, mean machine
Start it up
