We have a new pond inhabitant.
He showed up a week ago, circling the grassy area around the pond. Today he poked his head out at me from the rock garden while I was cleaning the pump’s filter.
The snake isn’t poisonous, he’s a danger to Kermit and the small fish in the pond. Kermit loves to climb up the pump’s inlet tube and hang out underneath the cool rocks during the heat of the day.
Should I leave it to natural selection or intervene?
