The Egret pictured above comes to the dock every time we’re fishing, looking for food for his family. He’s been successful in grabbing a grunt here and there from our bait bucket, and we’re cool with it. He lives on a mangrove island in Largo Sound, his wife was sitting on a nest when we paid them a visit the other day.
Today marks 2 months in Key Largo, it feels like 2 years. Time has slowed to a crawl, from sunrise to sunset I’m having fun, from sunset to sunrise I’m a man.
