Lately, I find myself listening to eclectic sounds.
With all the CD’s on my shelf, the MP3’s on disk and the myriad of local FM stations in my area, I find myself listening to Internet Radio for most of the day.
A CD lasts for an hour and then you have to get up and change it in mid thought. I’ve listened to every MP3 a number of times and creating playlists is time consuming. Local radio has commercials, or in the case of Classical or Jazz stations, the ever present pledge drive.
On the Net, it’s just soothing music playing all day and night. No afternoon traffic report to disturb my mood, nothing to remind me of the rat race.
Begin the day
With a friendly voice
A companion, unobtrusive
Plays that song that’s so elusive
