The Road Warriors

My Office

This is my traveling office, a Nook tablet, a Chromebook, and the Pixel 6 taking this photo. All devices run Android, so it makes it quite easy to move digital assets around.

The camera pictured is a Nikon D3200 that I just picked up at Salvation Army for $40. The D3200 can do videos, something I wanted to offload from the Pixel so as not to fill up the phone’s memory.

That little gadget, front left, is an SD card reader that plugs into a USB-C port. This allows me to take the SD card out of the Nikon and view photos on the tablet, share photos on my phone, or use the photo in a blog post using the Chromebook.

My desktop and laptop are stored away, they are the machines I go to for programming tasks, but now the weather is great and beckons exploration and recordings on a DSLR.

I’m happy to be getting back to photography, yes, I take an enormous amount of photos on my phones, but shooting with a DSLR is a completely different experience, it’s immersive.

Kodachrome
They give us those nice bright colors
Give us the greens of summers
Makes you think all the world’s a sunny day, oh yeah
I got a Nikon camera
I love to take a photograph
So mama, don’t take my Kodachrome away
