txp:tag - Textpattern Tags

Running the latest Textpattern 4.3.0.

Textpattern's new logo

txp:tag is a website showcasing the templates tags available for the Textpattern Content Management System. The elegance of this CMS, the simplicity of putting together a site with very little code, is a testament to the flexibility of the 150 tags available for Textpattern.

Textpattern is written in PHP, but it shields you from it via simple tags to display your desired output to the web browser. No worrying about missing a “<” here or a “.” there which brings your site to it’s knees. Raw PHP in templates, though popular in certain circles, is not a web developer’s friend, and an end user’s maintenance nightmare.

There are a handful of systems with elegant template tags, and I’ve had the opportunity to work with all of them. For my money, Textpattern is the most Zen of them all. There’s not much you can’t do with just txp:tags, and if you need more functionality, a plugin is just a download away. The new Textpattern Template Tags site used no plugins, let’s all chant now.

Nirvana is right here, before our eyes
This very place is the Lotus Land
This very body, the Buddha
