CyanogenMod 11 on Nook HD+

Time to upgrade the Nook HD+ To KitKat.

CyanogenMod 11

The Nook HD+ had been running CyanogenMod 10.2 since I got it for Christmas in 2013. CM 10.2 had been running fine, but I kept reading how KitKat would make the tablet run better.

I remember trying to install 10.2 on the Nook HD+, it took a number of tries to get the tablet to boot off the 4gb sdcard. Maybe I could go about it differently, take another route to CM 11?

Since the tablet already had CM 10.2, I decided to try the update via ClockworkMod recovery:

1) Download CMW 6.0.4.6 to the tablet.
2) Reboot the tablet into recovery and install the latest CMW.
3) Reboot the system.
4) Download cm-11-20141112-SNAPSHOT-M12-ovation.zip to the tablet.
5) Download gapps-kk-20140105.zip to the tablet.
6) Reboot the tablet into recovery.
7) Do a factory reset, formats /data and /cache.
8) Install zips CM11 and gapps.
9) Reboot the system.

Fingers crossed, booted into CM11, yes the Nook HD+ is faster on KitKat.
